Auchan leases 2,600 square meters of retail space in phase two of the U•Center project

Forte Partners announces the signing of the lease agreement whereby retailer Auchan Romania leases 2,600 square meters on the ground floor of the second phase of the U•Center office project, in an area of the building dedicated exclusively to retail.

"We are bringing the Auchan difference to the U•Center with our new large supermarket concept.  We will welcome our customers with low prices every day, with a very wide range of products, of over 11,000 items, from products sourced from local producers and suppliers, fresh produce, basic groceries, specialties, but also through a multitude of non-food products for everyday needs, such as household items, DIY, garden, etc., as well as a range of useful services", said Patrice Goupil, Territory Manager South Auchan Romania.

Construction works on the second phase of U•Center, with a GLA of 35,000 square meters, started in the second half of 2021 and will be completed in the third quarter of this year.

With the presence of Auchan, the services offered in U•Center, aimed at both employees working in the office buildings and the local community, will reach a high degree of diversification”, said Elena Tecuță, Office Leasing Manager at Forte Partners.

The first phase of the U•Center office project was completed in the third quarter of 2021, is fully leased by clients such as Booking Holdings, Endava, Lensa, Up Romania, BT, Neuroaxis, DCS plus and was sold to Pavăl Holding in November 2022.

Prior to the sale, the first phase of the project achieved LEED Platinum certification with a score of 85, one of the highest obtained in Romania forL EED v4 and WELL Health & Safety, and in February 2023 - WELL Platinum certification with a score of 91, the highest recorded in Romania for this type of certification at the time of its achievement. Forte Partners aims to obtain the same certifications for the second phase of U•Center.
